Job Title: Solar PV Lead Installer
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 4- 10hr shifts + overtime available as needed
Pay: Hourly wage (DOE)

Responsibilities
Pre-Site Inspections:
⦁ Collect data, including accurate measurements inside and outside the property, photos, including electrical panels, meters, documents, obstruction, and general property, to be used to finalize the PV design during the engineering phase.
⦁ Create Bill of Materials – all material needed to complete project.
⦁ Review design plans and adjust when needed.
⦁ Gather electrical information around home from Msp to Sub Panels
⦁ Complete paper site survey sheets as needed.
⦁ Communicate any necessary roof repairs and/or changes.
⦁ Identify different building and safety jurisdiction requirements for permitting submission.
Installation:
⦁ Manage installation crew on PV install.
⦁ Complete installation on various roof types, as well as ground mounts.
⦁ Identify and correct electrical safety hazards associated with installations.
⦁ Commission electrical equipment; test and repair
⦁ Commission monitoring systems (Enphanse and/or SolarEdge)
⦁ Support Utility Interconnection Process
⦁ Activate PV Systems to verify functionality and conformity to perform as expected and designed.
⦁ Test operating voltages to ensure operating system is within acceptable limits for power conditioning equipment, such as inverters and controllers.
⦁ Program, adjust, or configure inverters and controls for desired set points and operating modes.
⦁ Visually inspect and test PV modules or systems
⦁ Measure and analyze system performance and operating parameters to assess the operating conditions of system equipment.
⦁ Identify and resolve any deficiencies in PV system installation or materials.
⦁ Thoroughly and completely fill out job related documents.
⦁ Collect data and photos.
⦁ Maintain a clean jobsite during job and ensure jobsite is clean before leaving.
Inspection:
⦁ Stand for inspections.
⦁ Complete any PV Solar inspections corrections as required.
Repair and Maintenance:
⦁ Perform routine PV System maintenance on modules, arrays, energy storage, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, monitoring systems, and balance of systems equipment.
⦁ Identify and diagnose issues with PV System.
⦁ Identify shading, excessive roof degradation, or potential structural integrity under PV arrays while performing regularly scheduled maintenance.
⦁ Test and repair electrical equipment.
⦁ Test and repair monitoring systems.
⦁ Perform MPU’s
⦁ Thoroughly and completely fill out service documents.
⦁ Collect data and photos for each service job.
⦁ Maintain a clean jobsite during job and ensure jobsite is clean before leaving.
⦁ Collect payment as needed.
Other:
⦁ Provide and maintain a current Driver’s License and a clean driving record to safely operate company vehicles.
⦁ Maintain company tools and material inventory.
⦁ Ability to work alone or in a team.
⦁ Cross train team members and provide cross role deliverables, as necessary.
⦁ Other tasks and duties as needed.
Knowledge Required:
⦁ Enphase and SolarEdge inverters and monitoring systems
⦁ Enphase battery systems and circuitry
⦁ Proficiency with smart phone applications, Service Fusion knowledge is a plus.
⦁ Understand PV designs to identify potential failure points for all PV Systems.
Physical Requirements
⦁ Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily
⦁ Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily
⦁ Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily
⦁ Ability to kneel and stand repeatedly (lunges) daily
⦁ Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc.)
⦁ Comfortable working on roofs of all heights and different slopes/ pitches
⦁ Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, etc.)
Qualifications:
⦁ Must have 3+ years’ experience as a Solar Technician, including 1 year leading a crew.
⦁ Valid state driver’s license & clean driving record
⦁ US work authorization
⦁ Must have electrical and roof racking experience.
⦁ Motivated with attention to detail, productivity, and safety.
⦁ Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
⦁ Basic knowledge of solar installation is required.
⦁ Reliable and good attendance.
⦁ Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
⦁ Excellent communication skills.
⦁ Must have a positive attitude.
⦁ Reliable transportation to and from work.
⦁ Team player, respectful to coworkers and those around you
⦁ Respectful to homeowners and their property
